Finally, be strong in the Lord and in his mighty power. Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devil’s schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:10-12 NIV

There is ONE powerful solution to the issues we are facing in our country, in our world today. There is only ONE way to end the evil that continues to occur. The GOSPEL which Christ instructed His disciples to share the day He ascended into heaven. The GOSPEL which speaks of a God who created us, called us, and inspires us daily to be more than what we have experienced in this human life.

Why are we carrying on with this urgent need to place blame on someone, or something, desperate for an understanding of it when we know deep down exactly why evil plays out again and again. Do you really need a reminder?

This world is not our own. This world is not God’s. We are here for one purpose and one purpose alone. Share the gospel truth and love like God loves. Point them to CHRIST. Point them to GRACE. Point them to FORGIVENESS. And walk side by side, gathering together, enjoying fellowship with each other, dive deeply into discipleship and the study of His Word, PRAYING without ceasing-WITHOUT CEASING!, and never ever give up on His return! He is coming-He is coming soon! Will you be ready?

We have a choice. When our minds and hearts are crushed with the weight of the worries of this world-SEEK Him, KNOW Him, CRY OUT to Him! He is a good, good Father even if what we see with our own eyes and experience with all of our human senses is not good. I’m not God, and neither are you. I don’t understand Him, but I am confident enough in Him to tell you there is no need to. It is enough to trust that He is God.

Choose to be strong in the Lord, even when you don’t feel like it. Stop trying to figure it all out, just release it to Him. It is already His, you know?

I’m praying today Father God, and every day, that I will choose to trust You better. I don’t do that well. I have been disappointed by a lot of people in my life, but I am thankful for those who have proven to be trustworthy, genuine and authentic. I need that accountability, encouragement and unconditional love. We all do. Help us to be more honest and transparent with one another, respectful of each other’s differences, but more than that-respectful of You as our All Knowing Father God. Thank you for your purpose for us while we are on this earth. Keep us humble and kind. We need you now more than ever. Amen and amen.

 Give your burdens to the Lord and He will take care of you.  Psalm 55:22 I had the absolute joy recently of taking a trip with my Dad and my Brother to Santa Fe, New Mexico - it was perfectly timed and just what we all needed.  The weather was absolutely perfect as the leaves had changed to these beautiful hues of gold, green, red, orange, and the sky was clear blue, the landscape of the southwest was nearly indescribable.  The food was delicious and as we remembered fondly from years past:  red, green or Christmas - how to choose?  If you know, you know!  The feeling in this part of the country, the melting pot of so many diverse cultures come together in one place to celebrate and soak up the art/music/culture is something you can't describe in words but must experience in person to appreciate fully.  Despite the obvious vacant spot on that trip-Mom-it was something we all needed I think, my Dad especially.  Santa Fe is one step closer to heaven for him, well at least for anyone
